This is the first of two videos of extracts from an interview with Mel Lenehan, the Principal at Fircroft College in Birmingham.
Fircroft is one of only a handful of adult residential colleges in England. In this interview Mel talks about the importance of social justice as a value that underpins not just the goals of the college but the way staff interact with students and with each other. Fircroft College are celebrating 110 years this year. This interview is part of the research project Transformative Leadership in Further Education sponsored by the Further Education Trust for Leadership (FETL) and led by Rob Smith of Birmingham City University & Vicky Duckworth of Edge Hill University.
