Caroline Bault is Managing Partner at CounselRock Partners and is a specialist in hedge fund research and alternative investment consultancy.
Between 2011 and 2013, Caroline was Managing Director for Global Business Development at the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) Association. Prior to joining the CAIA Association in March 2011, she was a consultant to hedge funds and family offices advising on manager selection, due diligence, and strategic and governance issues.
Caroline has over 25 years’ experience in capital markets, ranging from investment banking and equity research and sales to asset allocation and hedge funds. She has worked in London, Paris, Frankfurt and New York and her prior roles include Director of European Research at Commerzbank in London and Frankfurt and Executive Director at Goldman Sachs International.
Caroline received an MBA from the University of San Diego, California, in 1987 and a BSBA from the University of Hartford, Connecticut, in 1986. She is a chartered alternative investment analyst and a member of the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute. She served as Chair of the Education Committee of 100 Women in Hedge Funds in London between 2009 and 2011. She currently serves on the board of the Aspirations Academies Trust and the Educate Global Fund and is a trustee of the Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals Charity.
