Webinar: Scripting the future – exploring the potential strategic leadership responses to the marketisation of English FE and vocational provision

27th July 2018, 12.30 - 13.30

This webinar will explore the impact of greater competition between colleges and the marketisation of English FE more generally.

It is based on a new FETL report – Scripting the future – exploring the potential strategic leadership responses to the marketisation of English FE and vocational provision. It looks at how best colleges can respond to current policies and position themselves for the future. Issues such as why marketisation is popular with government, the tensions that market forces create between FE and schools, the pressures it places on traditional forms of governance, the impact of market regulation on colleges, and who actually is the customer in this marketplace will all be explored.   Participants: Prof. Ewart Keep and Neil Bates
