The second in FETL’s ‘In Conversation’ series sees Dame Ruth Silver, FETL’s President, talk with Neil Bates, Associate Director for Technical Education Reforms and T Levels at the Education and Training Foundation.
Webinar: Higher Education in Further Education: Leading the Challenge
This webinar considered the issues raised in the FETL Monograph “Higher Education in Further Education: leading the challenge” (Widdowson and King FETL 2018). Neil Bates interviewed John Widdowson, discussing the challenges and opportunities facing colleges offering higher education alongside their core business of further education. It deals with matters such as developing an effective strategy for HE and how to approach managing relationships with universities and other partners. Following the interview John answered a series of questions from the webinar’s views. You can view the recording of the webinar below, and the Monograph can be downloaded here.
FETL’s post-lecture webinar
Following the Lecture the attendees were invited to submit questions to Professor Mark Stein that would be posed to him in a webinar. Dame Ruth Silver, FETL President, and Mark held an hour-long discussion during which the viewers’ questions were discussed. You can watch the video of the webinar here:
